I got to spend some quality time with Isaac, Jackie and their parents this weekend. Isaac has an amazing train set with tables, tracks and many different train cars. It was fun to see all his great stuff, learn more about trains AND watch Jackie dance to her favorite music. This last picture kills me!! Now, that's a brother and sister for sure! These two have SO much personality and were cracking us up. Too funny.

After deciding to enter the world early, precious baby Nicolas spent a few days in the hospital NICU. To bring him home happy and healthy made a great day for his family and he has been growing like a weed ever since. He was perfect for our photo shoot, even when we tempted him with possible accidents by taking off his diaper. His big brother was so anxious to welcome him home and hold him. He's been great about being gentle with him and is the first to make sure other kids are great with his little pal. Welcome home Baby Nicolas!!

One of the most exciting parts of my job is getting to capture my friends during such an exciting time in their life, pregnancy and welcoming new babies. This is one of my closest friends, who refused to do maternity pics with her first pregnancy. I was hopeful, but not pushy, about doing them this time and she approached me to do some. ;0) I was smiling big inside and out!!

She also decided that we would do some tasteful delivery pics. Had I known that her delivery would be so quick, I wouldn't have lowered the camera to wipe my tears. Their precious, angel boy came into the world fast and early. He's been exceeding their expectations ever since. Look for his newborn session soon.

Thank goodness we did these maternity pics when we did because we off to the hospital a few short days later! Mr couldn't wait til his due date to greet us. He was a few weeks early.

The first thing that people notice about precious Baby Sizemore, is his bright auburn hair. He came out with almost this much hair and it's still a big attraction!! ;0)

We had a fun day wandering the trails and wading in the weeds to get some great family shots. He gets cuter everyday and I can't wait to see him again. Maybe next time we'll get to rock some of his shoes from his Converse collection!

Last week I got to spend some time with two of my favorite girls, in the park, taking advantage of the beautiful fall colors. When it comes to picture time, these two could not be more different!! Hannah is a ham who has great suggestions and is always ready to "cheese" it up for the camera.

Olivia on the other hand wants nothing to do with me and tries to look anywhere but the camera. ;0) Thank goodness for her parents and big sissy who expose this striking smile!!

OMG! This pic, below, we were laughing about because the girls look like the pitchfork couple from Grant Wood's American Gothic painting. Straight, side by side stance with no smiles. Ha!! They're much cuter though.

Towards the end of the session, the girls' cousins came for a holiday photo. While I don't know that this will be the one that makes the Christmas card, it's a great depiction of what happens when you get a group of kids together. I love it!! Looking different directions, making silly faces. This is why kids are so fun, they're unpredictable!! These girls are more than cousins, they're best friends. Too cute.

I met some amazingly wonderful friends after I had my boy and joined a Mommy & Me group. These ladies helped me make it through (and STILL do!). I formed some really wonderful friendships that I'm so grateful for. So when my pal Dara had her second baby, Amelia, I forced her (in the nicest possible way) to let me come over and hang out with her and her babies. Her first-born and my son's friend, Quinn is the sweetest little boy. And we don't have many girls in our little group so we were so excited that Dara gave us baby Amelia. A few weekends ago I was lucky enough to be there when Don was surprised for his 70th birthday. His daughter Kate asked us to come and capture the great party they had planned and I'm so glad I was able to. First, of all the entire family is SO NICE. I mean one of those families that you would love to hang out with for hours because they are so fun and just so nice. My sister-in-law is a fantastic chef who was recently hired to cook for a private dinner. The dinner was to celebrate Valentine's Day and the theme was Aphrodisiacs. The menu included oysters served three ways, asparagus wrapped in Prosciutto, Pink Grouper and homemade artichoke raviolis. (I'm getting hungry just talking about it.) The dessert was also amazing, a layered chocolate mousse cake. Everyone was impressed and the presentation was outstanding.

The shower had fun food stations, including a nacho bar and a dessert/candy station. Everything was so playful and delicious!!

They called in the big hitter when it comes to desserts for this exciting event, Carissa with Sugar and Spice Specialty Desserts, to make some custom creations which included Whoopie Pies, Mini Cupcakes, Cheesecake Bites, Cotton Candy and Cookie Pops. Gumballs, licorice, caramel corn and candy buttons were some of the other sweet treats for guests to take home!

After having Jackson at the beginning of this year I joined a Mommy & Me group. I have to say it was my BEST idea of this entire year. Seriously, I still can't believe how much I got and am still getting out of that group! One of my blessings from that group is my pal Becky.

I was so excited when she asked me to take pictures of her family. Jena is just the cutest little thing and her boots slay me! I mean how cute is that 'fit?

Shooting family to me is always more nerve-wracking then shooting a stranger. I always worry that because I know them I won't be on top of my game. So I was nervous to take my sister-in-law's family pictures but I have to say I'm really pleased with how they turned out!

Of course when you've got great subjects it makes my job all the easier, know what I mean?! I love these pictures I got of Sherrie and Tom. So lovely.

When I met my husband Bradley was only 12. He is 16 now. Legal to drive. I can't believe that! Also, I'm a little frightened! :-)

After we finished up out by the lake we sent back to the house and I captured this picture of Tom and his sweet old cat Claw. I'm so glad I got this because the very next week they had to put Claw down.

Thanks guys for putting your faith in me and being such easy subjects! You make my job easy!!

This week we met Jacob, who was super friendly but a little apprehensive about taking photos. We talked about some of his favorite things, walked around, saw some ducks and stole a few shots while he lead the way. Once his mom got his soccer ball, football and baseball out, a whole new Jacob emerged. As he and his dad played catch, he was full of smiles and conversation and even posed for us a little!

Last week I was the lucky girl that got to spend time with baby Bo! Oh and his parents Leah and Rob too. This is one cute kid. I mean look at him! And this boy love his mommy. He is also pretty fond of his dad too.

Of course he was bound to be cute with parents as good looking as Leah and Rob. This is one gorgeous couple and with Bo they make the most beautiful family.

Welcome home baby boy! This kid is such a cutie I can hardly stand it! He's my next favorite boy for sure. He is at the wonderful age of squishy. He and mommy are settling in nicely and boy are they in love.

Everytime I look at the above picture I just want to squeeze my own little nugget. They grow so fast and soon enough you are chasing them around the room trying to get a diaper on them!

I like pets. Especially dogs. And especially when they are all lovey. Nicole on the other hand LOVES dogs. And by LOVE I mean deep, abiding LOVE. So when we were asked by Leslie and Pete to take some pictures of them and their babies, we jumped at the chance.

These were some of the cutest dogs I have ever been around. They were so sweet! I wanted to take them all home with me.

And look at these little faces! So funny. They were hyper and ready to play. I couldn't believe how well they all got along.

Even though I was weeks away from my due date and looked a touch out of place in a pub, I wouldn't have missed the chance to take this de Vere's Irish Pub family photo for anything!! While I didn't get to partake in their weekend Mimosas, I did get to have lunch which is always fantastic.

For the family pic, I stood on a barstool in the middle of the street with my nervous husband anxiously waiting for my hugeness to get down. Today I spent some time with Gavin. He is so content and alert for being a little over a week old. I had such a fun time photographing him and he was game for everything. A few weeks ago I shared a few pictures from our shoot with Hannah and Olivia, two little cutie patooties! We had such a great time with these little girls! They were so fun and little miss Hannah is a professional!

We had such a great time at the park with them. We rolled around in the grass, played on the playground, rode the horsies and spent some time on the swings.

For the last few shots the girls changed into their favorite fluffy skirts and we danced around twirling skirts and pretending to be ballerinas.

This is the first marriage for both and they met while living on the same street, a few houses down from each other. A little pursuing, a few years of dating and here we are capturing their fantastic backyard wedding in El Dorado Hills. The weather was perfect, the food divine, the mood relaxed. It couldn't have been a better day for an August wedding!

Tonight Bree and I got to meet up with Michelle and Steve, who were married in February in Modesto. Their wedding day was beautiful and so full of love, but the skies did offer some rain that day. We had talked about setting up a "Trash the Dress" session with Michelle and Steve after the wedding date to capture some pics on a sunny day at different locations around town. Well, today was the day! We met up with them at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in downtown Sacramento and went to a few of our favorite spots to capture these two. Must Love Dogs

Something that I love to photograph as much as families and kids...is DOGS!! I love my pup, although she's 13 she still acts like a puppy. When a new puppy comes into the family, expect me to be there with a camera in their face, just like I do with the kids. This is Rachel, the newest addition to the family. My brother-in-law got her recently and she is a white golden retriever. SO precious...although don't ask me why he named her Rachel.

Nellie is a Yellow Lab, but Rachel looks like her baby...especially when she's in trouble!

I swear if I had known she was going to pee on the carpet when she crouched down, I would've stopped her! I thought she was just curious about the camera. Oops...

I can't believe my boy is already five months old! He is quite the cutie even if I do say so myself. I had a little photoshoot with him the other day to celebrate his cuteness!

Doesn't he have the funniest faces? I just love them. He is so expressive and full of life. That's what I love about babies. Everything is so shiny and new to them!

We have recently started feeding him solids and he has totally chunked up! I love the thighs!
